Whalefall was a game being developed by Whitethorn Games, that I was proud to be a part of for almost three years. Unfortunately, the funding fell through, and Whalefall is no longer being created. Whitethorn has generously allowed the artists to share any art they created for the game. Since I worked on a large variety of environments, I've split them across multiple posts.
This is Moldon, an underground city inspired by London. I created the Aqueducts and props leading into the city, as well as many of the city buildings. My favorite asset from this set has to be the Clock Tower, based off of Big Ben. I put a lot of love into the clock faces and animation. All four sets of clock hands actually do a full even 12-hr rotation, which was 5,760 frames of animation. The clock tower animation is longer than my college thesis film.
